Baseball Recap: Lamar Warriors vs. Mayflower Eagles
Lamar lost against Mayflower back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lamar Warriors wound up on the wrong side of a rough 11-4 walloping at the hands of the Mayflower Eagles. Lamar has not had much luck with Mayflower recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lamar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Leads, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Mayflower, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will take on Perryville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mayflower, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Arkansas Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
