ALA - Ironwood waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Madison Highland Prep Heat 3-0.

ALA - Ironwood's got stronger as the match went on, holding Madison Highland Prep to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-10.

Erick Hernandez paced ALA - Ironwood's offense, picking up ten kills. Hernandez got some help from Jayda Dominguez and his 21 assists. Dominguez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

ALA - Ironwood pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Madison Highland Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, ALA - Ironwood will take on Gilbert Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be ALA - Ironwood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Madison Highland Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Odyssey Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
