Basketball Recap: Pendleton Comes Up Short

Pendleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kellogg Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Buckaroos have suffered since February 15th.

Pendleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Kellogg, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Pendleton and Kellogg could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Buckaroos will take on Scappoose on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (176 vs. 9). Meanwhile, Kellogg (ranked 96th) will meet St. Maries (ranked fifth) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
