Football Recap: Hickory Grove Christian Starts off Right with Win over Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy

Hickory Grove Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-12 victory over the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles. The Lions pushed the score to 49-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Hickory Grove Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaxson Lee out in front who threw for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Parker Greene also helped with two scores in total.

Coming up, Hickory Grove Christian will face off against Cabarrus S at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they will square off against South Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
