Softball Recap: Woodsboro Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Woodsboro waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Refugio Bobcats get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Woodsboro pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Refugio, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodsboro will host Skidmore-Tynan at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Refugio, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Refugio Bobcats face off against Kenedy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenedy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
