Basketball Recap: Southlake Carroll Piles Up the Points Against Keller Central

Southlake Carroll won the last time they faced Keller Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Southlake Carroll Dragons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Keller Central Chargers 57-22. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Chargers are ranked 708th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southlake Carroll has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Keller Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Southlake Carroll will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Boswell at 6:30 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Boswell sitting on eight straight victories and Southlake Carroll on seven. Keller Central has already played their next match, a 64-42 defeat against Byron Nelson on the 4th.
