Volleyball Recap: Holy Redeemer Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Holy Redeemer barely beat Wilkes-Barre the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Royals blew past the Wolfpack 3-0 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Royals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-18.

Holy Redeemer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hayden Fleegle, who had nine digs and two aces. Those nine digs gave Fleegle a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Wilkes-Barre still got an impressive performance from Jordany Rodriguez, who had 11 digs, ten kills, and one block. Rodriguez has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 12 times he's played. Josue Canrinma Chimborazo was another key player, getting 14 digs and two assists.

Holy Redeemer pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wilkes-Barre, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-9-2.

Holy Redeemer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Delaware Valley on the 24th. As for Wilkes-Barre, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Whitehall on the 25th.
