Basketball Game Preview: Hamlin Pied Pipers vs. Eula Pirates

The Hamlin Pied Pipers will head out on the road to take on the Eula Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hamlin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 67-41 margin over Northside.

Kyson McGee and Ian Gruben were among the main playmakers for Hamlin as the former posted 16 points and the latter earned 15 points. Luke White was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Eula took their match on Monday with ease, bagging a 58-24 win over Roby. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Hamlin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Eula, they now have a winning record of 18-17.

Hamlin was taken down by Eula 67-12 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hamlin was down 47-2.
