Football Recap: Southland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-19 loss at the hands of the Lorenzo Hornets. The Eagles lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-34 score last time.

Southland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lorenzo, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southland will head out to challenge Petersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Buffaloes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lorenzo, they will challenge Loop at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
