Basketball Recap: Bayside Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Bayside extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Omar Clarke. The Bayside Bears put the hurt on the Brevard Christian War Eagles with a sharp 68-48 victory on Friday thanks in part to Clarke, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Brevard Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Samuel Mitchell, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Justin Williams was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Bayside is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Brevard Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.

Bayside has already played their next game, a 72-55 win against Merritt Island on the 28th. As for Brevard Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-41 victory against Burns Sci-Tech on the 27th.
