Softball Recap: Northwood Temple Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Northwood Temple Academy barely beat Scotland Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Saints 18-5 on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyleigh Ramos was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carly Bailey, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.

Northwood Temple Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

The win (which was Northwood Temple Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Scotland Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Coming up, Northwood Temple Academy will welcome Freedom Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scotland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
