Softball Recap: Daniel Takes a Loss

Daniel lost against Blue Ridge back in February of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Fighting Tigers by a score of 12-11. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emily Gooch was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bryn Chasteen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Daniel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Blue Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Daniel will take on Greer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Yellow Jackets at the right time seeing as the Yellow Jackets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Blue Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Berea at 6:00 p.m.
