Softball Recap: Cheshire Academy Takes a Loss

Cheshire Academy managed to slip by Suffield Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cats lost 13-1 to the Tigers on Saturday. The game marked the Cats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cheshire Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was T Ferraiolo, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Ferraiolo has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Another was K Durkin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Cheshire Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Suffield Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Cheshire Academy will venture away from home to challenge Loomis Chaffee School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pelicans have averaged an impressive 13 runs per game this season. As for Suffield Academy, they will welcome Choate Rosemary Hall School at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
