Volleyball Recap: Columbia Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Columbia Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Franklin County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln County Falcons on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Columbia Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.

Anne Wolaver paced Columbia Central's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wolaver got some help from Allie Hill and her 32 assists. Gabby Bolton controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Columbia Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Columbia Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Summertown on the 3rd. Lincoln County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
