Volleyball Recap: Columbia Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Franklin County on Tuesday, Columbia Central came back down to earth. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln County Falcons on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Columbia Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.

Anne Wolaver paced Columbia Central's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wolaver got some help from Allie Hill and her 32 assists. Gabby Bolton controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Columbia Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Columbia Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Summertown on the 3rd. As for Lincoln County, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Lawrence County on the 9th.
