Soldotna faced Lathrop in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Stars walked away with a 27-14 victory over the Malemutes. The win was just business as usual for the Stars, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.

Soldotna's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Lathrop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
