Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors vs. Coahulla Creek Colts

The Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Coahulla Creek Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will be strutting in after a victory while Coahulla Creek will be coming in after a loss.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Rockmart with a sharp 61-37 win. With the Warriors ahead 38-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Coahulla Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-53 heartbreaker at the hands of Murray County. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Indians are ranked 22nd).

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Coahulla Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Coahulla Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
