Softball Game Preview: Armada Tigers vs. Capac Chiefs

The Armada Tigers will square off against the Capac Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Armada has six straight wins, Capac has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Armada gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over Clarkston. Considering the Tigers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Capac lost 14-4 to Deckerville on Tuesday.

Capac saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karina R, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Lily U also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Armada's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Capac, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Armada got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April against Capac by a conclusive 23-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
