Basketball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wisconsin Heights last Friday, Cambridge came back down to earth. The Cambridge Bluejays took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abundant Life Challengers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bluejays came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Challengers are ranked 172nd).

Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Abundant Life, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge will face off against New Glarus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cambridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests. As for Abundant Life, they will take on Madison Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abundant Life is facing Madison Country Day at the right time seeing as Madison Country Day is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
