Sylmar piles up the points against Panorama

Recap: Sylmar Spartans vs. Panorama Pythons

The Sylmar Spartans entered their tilt with the Panorama Pythons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Sylmar blew past Panorama 90-61 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-23.

Sylmar had a senior duo take command as Gustavo Lopez scored 19 points and Christian Ramos dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keawe Kalama, who scored ten points along with three steals and three blocks.

Despite the loss, Panorama still got an impressive performance from Eduardo Munguia, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Munguia has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jairo Sandoval, who scored 11 points.

Sylmar's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.4 points per game. As for Panorama, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Sylmar won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Roosevelt at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Roosevelt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Panorama, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Fernando at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. San Fernando is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53 points per game.
