Holton is 9-1 against Sabetha since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will face off against the Bluejays at 4:30  p.m. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Holton is headed into the  game having just  posted their closest  win since April 8, 2024 last Tuesday. They came out on top against Santa Fe Trail by a score of  9-7 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Meanwhile, Sabetha faced Perry-Lecompton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bluejays blew past the Kaws 14-4. The  victory was nothing new for the Bluejays as they're now sitting on four straight.
Sabetha got a great performance from  Emerson Strahm as she  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Erin Boltz was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Regan Hasenkamp was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple.
 Sabetha  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Sabetha's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 4-3. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Holton,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Holton took their  victory against Sabetha  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  15-9 score. Do  the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bluejays turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
