Volleyball Recap: Labette County Grizzlies vs. Independence Bulldogs
Labette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Independence Bulldogs. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
While Labette County had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.
Labette County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20-2. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 13-8-6.
Labette County will stay at home for another game and welcome Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Burlington on the 12th.
