Recap: Mount Si Wildcats vs. Chiawana Riverhawks

The Mount Si Wildcats were the 46-21 winner over the Chiawana Riverhawks when they last played one another back in November of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Mount Si fell just short of Chiawana by a score of 14-12. That's two games in a row now that Mount Si has lost by exactly two points.

Nate Donavan threw for 224 yards and a touchdown. Jake Johnson was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Beau Phillips rushed for 109 yards.

Mount Si's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chiawana, the win was the seventh in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Mount Si will head out on the road to face off against Bothell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Bothell is ranked 23rd, while Mount Si is ranked 26th). As for Chiawana, they will be playing at home against Walla Walla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walla Walla comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
