Volleyball Recap: Windsor's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was fun while it lasted, but Windsor's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Analy Tigers. The game marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Windsor took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-21.

Romeo Delarosa paced Windsor's offense, picking up seven kills. Delarosa got some help from Anthony Delgado and his 13 assists.

Leading Analy to victory were Jose Zapien Gomez and Jorge Salgado Vega. Zapien Gomez had 14 digs and two assists, while Salgado Vega had four aces and one assist. The dominant performance gave Salgado Vega a new career-high in aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Windsor fell to 4-1. As for Analy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Windsor will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on American Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. Analy will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Rancho Cotate at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
