Nooksack Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 78-70 to the Sedro-Woolley Cubs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Pioneers still had to take the loss.

Nooksack Valley dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Sedro-Woolley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nooksack Valley will venture away from home to square off against Lummi at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lummi will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Nooksack Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Sedro-Woolley and Granite Falls will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
