Soccer Game Preview: Warren County vs. Coffee County Central

Warren County is 1-8-1 against Coffee County Central since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will head out to face off against the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

Warren County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Shelbyville Central, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Warren County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Shelbyville Central are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Coffee County Central made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lincoln County on Tuesday. They never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Coffee County Central's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-0-3. As for Warren County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

Warren County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Coffee County Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
