Recap: Liberty Lancers vs. Rampart Rams

Even though the Rampart Rams scored an imposing 60 points on Wednesday, the Liberty Lancers still came out on top. Liberty took their match against Rampart 67-60. For Liberty, this counts as revenge for the 56-53 loss Rampart walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

London Praytor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Cunningham, who scored 14 points along with six assists.

Rampart lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adeel Johnson el, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Johnson el is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Myles Chavarria, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Even though they lost, Rampart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Liberty's win ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10. As for Rampart, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Liberty's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fountain-Fort Carson at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Rampart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pine Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
