Volleyball Recap: Eunice Starts Season with Victory Against Escalante

Eunice gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Escalante Lobos 3-2.

Eunice took Escalante into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 15-25, 15-8.

When it comes to explaining why Escalante lost, don't look at Shea Archuleta. Despite the final result, she had 56 digs and seven aces. Archuleta is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Eunice has already played their next match (against Dora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Escalante, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Hagerman on the 22nd.
