Soccer Game Preview: Lamar Consolidated vs. Victoria East

The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Victoria East Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lamar Consolidated came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to Randle. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Lions are ranked 238th).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Victoria East brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They put the hurt on Fort Bend Marshall with a sharp 5-0 win on Tuesday. That five goal margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.

Lamar Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Victoria East, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
