Volleyball Recap: Coldwater Cardinals vs. Portage Northern Huskies
Coldwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Portage Northern Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2022.
Their offense was headlined by Aubrey Gebbink and Marie Powers, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Brooklyn Closson and her 20 assists. Maren Debeau controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Coldwater's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-4. As for Portage Northern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-15-1.
