Softball Recap: Elmore County Takes a Loss

If Elmore County was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Valley on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Beauregard Hornets by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Elmore County and nudges their season record down to 21-17. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Beauregard, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-12.

Elmore County has already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Valley on the 26th. Hopefully Beauregard paid attention to the Panthers' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
