Baseball Recap: Stockdale Has No Trouble Against Tulare Western

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Monday. Stockdale blew past Tulare Western 10-0. That's more bragging rights for Stockdale, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stockdale got a great performance from Colton Kaiser as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Kaiser a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Hayden Elchlepp was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Brayden Gutierrez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Stockdale now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tulare Western, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Stockdale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Justin Garza on the 7th. As for Tulare Western, they have also already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Centennial on the 7th.
