Basketball Recap: Twin Springs Comes Up Short

Twin Springs and Honaker squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Twin Springs had to settle for second. They lost 36-12 to the Honaker Tigers. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Honaker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alayna McNulty led the charge by going 7-for-9 en route to 16 points. What's more, McNulty also posted a 78% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Carey Keene was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Twin Springs' loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Honaker, the win (which was their 25th in a row) raised their record to 26-1.

Twin Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Honaker, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-39 victory against J.I. Burton on the 28th.
