Softball Game Preview: Brewster Bears vs. Chelan Mountain Goats

The Brewster Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Chelan Mountain Goats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Brewster will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Brewster beat Omak 16-12.

Meanwhile, Chelan hadn't done well against Okanogan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mountain Goats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mountain Goats have posted since March 25th.

Brewster pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Chelan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Brewster might still be hurting after the 17-6 defeat they got from Chelan in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
