Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Stamets and Maura Malaska Secure Win for Jim Thorpe

There's no place like home for Jim Thorpe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lehighton Indians by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Olympians in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.

In the three sets Jim Thorpe was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 22-25, 25-14.

Jim Thorpe was led to victory by Maura Malaska and Aubrey Stamets. Malaska had six digs and four aces, while Stamets had eight digs. Malaska is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Jim Thorpe's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Lehighton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
