Soccer Game Preview: Wahlert vs. Clayton-Ridge

The Wahlert Golden Eagles will head out to challenge the Clayton-Ridge Eagles on Wednesday.

Wahlert is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Cedar Falls just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Clayton-Ridge hasn't lost a match since April 8th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over New Hampton. Considering Clayton-Ridge have won six games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Clayton-Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-3. As for Wahlert, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-3-1.

Wahlert beat Clayton-Ridge 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
