Basketball Recap: Loris Lions vs. Dillon Wildcats

If Loris was riding high fresh off their 67-24 takedown of Georgetown two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Loris Lions fell 64-53 to the Dillon Wildcats on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Loris still got an impressive performance from Janiya Richburg, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 14 boards, and nine steals. Richburg has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Dazena Capers, who posted 14 points.

Loris' loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Dillon, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Aynor the next time they take the court. Loris will head out to face Aynor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Dillon will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
