Recap: Volcano Vista Hawks vs. Cleveland Storm
On Tuesday, the Volcano Vista Hawks faced the Cleveland Storm in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Volcano Vista managed a 49-43 win over Cleveland. Winning may never get old, but Volcano Vista sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Volcano Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taejhuan "TT" Hill out in front who scored 21 points along with four steals. Faith Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Volcano Vista is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Cleveland, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Volcano Vista will take on Cibola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cibola is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Cleveland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Atrisco Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m.
