Softball Game Preview: Seventy-First Falcons vs. E.E. Smith Golden Bulls

The Seventy-First Falcons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Seventy-First's offense. They came up short against South View last Tuesday, falling 16-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, E.E. Smith had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 10-0 to Triton. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Bulls in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Seventy-First now has a losing record of 1-2. As for E.E. Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Seventy-First suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to E.E. Smith when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can Seventy-First avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
