            Basketball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Warriors vs. Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            If Lincoln-Way West was feeling good  fresh off their  58-38 takedown of Stagg last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lincoln-Way West Warriors took a  blow against the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings on Friday, falling  80-47. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 281st, while the Vikings are ranked 12th).
 Homewood-Flossmoor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Arden Eaves led the charge by  going 10 of 14  on his way to 22  points in addition to five  rebounds and three  blocks. Those 22 points gave  Eaves a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Tyler, who  went 8 for 15  en route to 18  points and four  steals.
Lincoln-Way West now  has a losing record at 9-10. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
