Basketball Recap: North Shelby Comes Up Short

On Friday, the North Shelby Raiders were beaten by the St. Elizabeth Hornets 71-43.

Leading St. Elizabeth to victory were Gavin Williams and Blake Wobbe. Williams dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Wobbe went 7 of 15 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wobbe a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Chipman, who posted seven points and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Elizabeth and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Shelby will host Westran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Elizabeth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Elizabeth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
