Basketball Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss

Cordova lost against Lumen Christi back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cordova Wolverines took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumen Christi Archangels. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Amara Warren, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals for Lumen Christi. Warren has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 34 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Muller, who posted 11 points.

Cordova now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lumen Christi, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Cordova didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-30 defeat against Delta on the 18th. Lumen Christi has also already played their next matchup, a 37-27 loss against Glennallen on the 18th.
