4A Northern recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Northern this week, Windsor beat Standley Lake 28-15. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Windsor was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping the Gators. Chris Jones' team came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Longmont's dynamic duo of Clint Sigg and Eli Sullivan proved to be unstoppable against Pueblo South, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sigg threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns and Sullivan had 127 yards receiving. Spencer Zuege helped Longmont's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 44 yards.
He went 14-23 with 2 interceptions.
Viktor Kaiser made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wizards topped Standley Lake. The 6-foot-4 defensive end pulled down 1 interception and grabbed 1 sack.
6-foot-1 quarterback Bryan Meek of Niwot is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,639. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is John Freismuth. The Loveland star has 24 catches for 609 yards.
Windsor's Tanner Bohm is a mere 22 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 162 carries Bohm has accumulated 978 yard this year.
Loveland took down Broomfield 33-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mike Zweigle threw for 97 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 152 yards in the win.
