Leon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evans Franco, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Seabreeze was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against North Florida Christian by a score of 9-4.
Rustin Hurley made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hurley was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Seabreeze got a great performance from Brody Harris as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.
Back at the plate, Jacob Imhoff was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Seabreeze was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Leon's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Seabreeze, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Leon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Seabreeze struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
