Volleyball Recap: Grandview Finds Home Court Redemption Against Raytown South

There's no place like home for Grandview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Raytown South Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Grandview took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-14.

Sebastian Williams paced Grandview's offense, picking up nine kills. Williams got some help from Alan Uncal-Ramirez and his 15 assists. Uncal-Ramirez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with ten aces.

Grandview's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5. As for Raytown South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Grandview will take on Guadalupe Centers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Aztecs at the right time seeing as the Aztecs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Raytown South, they will head out on the road to take on Raymore-Peculiar at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
