Volleyball Recap: Bell Gardens Lancers vs. California City Ravens
Bell Gardens extended their postseason success on Thursday against California City. They came out on top against the California City Ravens by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on eight straight.
The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16.
Despite the loss, California City still got an impressive performance from Natasha Aguirre, who had 16 digs and two aces. Aguirre is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Gonzalez, who had five aces.
Bell Gardens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-18 record this season. As for California City, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-15-1.
Bell Gardens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Eagle Rock on the 16th. California City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
