Football Recap: Cypress Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Park duked it out with Cypress Springs on Thursday. The Tigers were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Nicholas Williams threw for 92 yards on five of 16 attempts. Chris Owoeye was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

Cypress Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Myles Hamilton out in front who threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. The Panthers also got a significant boost from Yogi Martin Jr., who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cypress Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Cypress Park has already played their next matchup, a 41-14 defeat against Cypress Woods on the 30th. As for Cypress Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-21 loss against Waller on the 1st.
