Baseball Recap: Loudon Comes Up Short

Loudon was the 6-3 winner over Sweetwater when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Redskins fell 5-2 to the Wildcats on Thursday.

Loudon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Ridings, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Loudon's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Sweetwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

While Loudon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
