The Central Grizzlies didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Big Valley Christian Lions on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 23-19 win.

A big part of Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Andrew Sanchez and his top target Quincy Moore. Sanchez threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes while Moore picked up 168 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Sanchez's passing game has become a key predictor of Central's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Big Valley Christian lost, don't look at Jeremie Jourdan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Central's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Big Valley Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
