Recap: South Bend Riley Wildcats vs. Wawasee Warriors

On Friday, South Bend Riley came up short against Wawasee and fell 35-26. South Bend Riley gained 63 more yards on the day, but it was Wawasee that made the best of use of them.

Austin White and Payton Baird certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. White threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns, while Baird picked up 152 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Hunter Tinkey was a one-man wrecking crew for Wawasee as he rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Tinkey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Donovan Blair did his part to keep the secondary busy, gaining 123 total yards.

South Bend Riley's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Wawasee, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.

South Bend Riley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wawasee will head out on the road to face off against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
